Hotel for Wedding in Punta Cana – Ocean El Faro

14 JULY 2020

Unsure of which hotel to choose for your wedding in Punta Cana? Discover Ocean El Faro, you will fall in love!

Ocean El Faro is a hotel that impresses upon arrival in the lobby, decorated with such delicacy that the eyes don’t know where to focus first: on the cactus figures printed along the wall behind the check-in counter, in the collection of butterflies exhibited throughout the space, or in the lobby bar, protected by the replica of a whale skeleton.  At this time, you can start enjoying the all-inclusive experience and ask the friendly bartender to prepare your favorite drink to refresh after the long trip.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the Gastronomic Boulevard, an area that concentrates most of the hotel’s restaurants and night activities, such as the nightclub, casino, bowling, theater and sports bar. During the day it may not seem like much, but at nightfall everything lights up and you will find yourself walking on a boardwalk with people walking, entering and leaving restaurants, laughing and having fun, lively music playing in the bandstand with the performances that take place every night… It is a very beautiful setting to share with the people we love!

Another thing that draws a lot of attention, especially for those traveling with children, is the waterpark and the lazy river. The waterpark is ideal for younger children, up to six years old, while the lazy river is guaranteed fun for children and parents – mainly by the bar that is at one end of the path. The hotel staff will say jokingly: una vuelta y un traguito! You lie comfortably on a float while the gentle current does all the work.

Of course, we cannot miss the lighthouse of which the hotel is named after. Upon arrival at the lobby you can see the charming blue, white and yellow lighthouse, which will certainly be part of the photos and memories of this magical trip!

The food and drink options at Ocean El Faro are very varied: in addition to the El Mercado restaurant (an international buffet open for all meals), you can choose whether you want an Italian, French dinner, seafood, different cuts of meat or participate in a dinner that is a real show at the Teppanyaki table at the Asian restaurant! And if you feel hungry after enjoying the clubbing, you can stop by Route 66 for a hamburger with soda or some fries and a milkshake. And you know that feeling I mentioned when we got to the lobby? It is repeated every time we enter one of the restaurants; the décor is something so impressive that the desire is to sit there as long as possible to be able to appreciate every detail!

Now, speak of the main point for you who are choosing a hotel to get married in the Caribbean, Ocean El Faro has an extensive beach of fine white sand, adorned with beautiful, tall and imposing coconut trees that, by themselves, already make up a good part of the decoration of the ceremony and party. The beach is the perfect setting for larger ceremonies, with more than 500 people, even the most intimate with the presence of only family and close friends. In addition to the beautiful beach, the hotel offers as an option for the ceremony a beautiful gazebo overlooking the sea, which comfortably accommodates up to 80 people. This gazebo is located in an area of the hotel where there is almost no movement of people, which brings a very intimate atmosphere to the celebration. The options are many: ceremony in the gazebo or on the beach; cocktail on the beach, near the lighthouse, on the terrace of the convention center or in a private area of the lobby, and dinner on the beach, in the convention center or, for a mini wedding, on the wooden pergola in the garden.

Regardless of the option chose, my tip for the couple is to stay at least for two nights in the Royal Master Suite Ocean View – an incredible and very spacious suite, where the bride can dress up with the mothers and bridesmaids, which always yields beautiful photos for the wedding album! In addition, the suite faces the beach, and if you ask the hotel to be on the first floor, just open the balcony door so that the bride can walk to the altar, either on the beach or in the gazebo.Royal Master Suite Ocean View Room - Photo: PH Cavalheiro

For couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the family area, the hotel also has an area exclusively for adults. In the El Beso area, lively music, foam parties and laughter from the main swimming pool give way to atmosphere of relaxation and soft music, for those looking for a peaceful moment for two. If you are looking for a more exclusive service, the hotel offers some amenities and services only for Privilege guests: 24-hour room service, a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, which at breakfast serves as a buffet option very close to the beach, butler, exclusive lounge, everything to make your stay at the Ocean El Faro memorable!

Ocean El Faro was opened in late 2018 with 914 rooms, 11 restaurants, cafeteria, ice cream parlor, 13 bars, 5 swimming pools, waterpark, spa, sports court and many other surprises. Located in the Uvero Alto region, the hotel is 40 minutes away from Punta Cana International Airport and 2h45 away from the capital, Santo Domingo, so it is very important to pay attention to these distances when buying your airfare.
